Sahasak Nimavum- 2025

Event Overview:

The Faculty of Siddha Medicine, University of Jaffna, proudly participated in the “Sahasak Nimavum” 2025 – International Inventions & Innovations Competition & National Exhibition, organized by Sri Lanka Inventors Commission under the Ministry of Science and Technology. The event was held on 25th – 27th April 2025 at BMICH, Colombo. The Faculty participated under the University Business Linkage (UBL) Cell and the involvement was coordinated by Dr. (Mrs.) R. Sugeevan, UBL, Faculty Coordinator.

The participation of the Faculty of Siddha Medicine in Sahasak Nimavum” 2025 – International Inventions & Innovations Competition & National Exhibition, was a resounding success. It provided an excellent platform for the students to showcase their innovative talents and traditional knowledge. This experience has motivated the faculty to continue promoting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Siddha medicine at both national and international levels.

This initiative was also supported and mentored by Dr. (Mrs.) V. Sathiyaseelan and Dr. (Mrs.) K. Sounthararajan whose guidance played a key role in preparation of the invention products of the students.

Stall Details:

Our faculty’s exhibition stall displayed a wide range of herbal products, which attracted a significant number of visitors, including researchers, entrepreneurs, academicians, school students and the general public. The professionalism and creativity demonstrated at the stall highlighted the potential of traditional knowledge integrated with modern innovation.
